Sella Concept designs a charming retro interior for restaurant & retail store by Sister Jane in Notting Hill

London-based design studio Sella Concept recently completed a distinctive retro interior for Sister Jane Townhouse, the very first concept store by Sister Jane. The project brings together the brand’s new headquarters, its retail store and the restaurant collaboration Cha Cha x Sister Jane.

“During the day, visitors will be able to savour Cha Cha’s all-day brunch menu featuring bold European cuisine with a Latin twist, head up to the first floor and shop Sister Jane’s vintage-inspired designs, or lounge on the rooftop whilst the Sister Jane team are hard at work planning and designing the next collection on the top floor. In the evening, a delectable new menu and cocktails take centre stage. The autumnal palette of burnt oranges, creams and walnut timber evokes a distinct warmth, paired with bespoke furniture including a scalloped banquette inspired by the Sister Jane logo. Custom orange hexagon gloss tables, spherical lamps and further other maximalist Sella-designed items are teamed with hand-picked vintage pieces straight from the 1970s, including Gio Ponti chairs and Guzzini pendants, giving the space an authentic feel. The hexagonal centrepiece bar curves at almost 360° allowing guests a full view of the restaurant and each other. A collage wall featuring Sister Jane’s brand campaigns leads to the high- ceilinged showrooms on the first floor of the Townhouse where you’ll find the brand’s newest collections. Sister Jane offers whim-sical styles and feminine colour ways, whilst DREAM Sister Jane channels Sister Jane’s distinctive personality and features more meticulous finishes and decadent details. The showroom’s chapel like centrepiece structure lures intrigue beyond its veil. Sella also designed bespoke rails in walnut timber with brushed brass joints and pearlescent lights , while mannequins stand on a inset curavious 70s inspired, carpeted platform. A rooftop terrace connected to the showroom space is the perfect opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of London during the summer whilst the team from Cha Cha serves you a peaceful drink in the sun with friends. Across the hallway, you enter the Ghospell room, where we introduce steel and velvet fabric walls to pair with the minimal designs and fluid silhouettes of Ghospell, Sister Jane’s alter ego brand. Microcement floors seemlessly flow into the microcement till and its polished mirror desktop. A fully mirrored changing room transports visitors in a corner of infinity,” explains Sella Concept
