FERRER uses curated fresh mix of 21st century vintage pieces when designing Brooklyn apartment

Charlie Ferrer of New York-based FERRER recently completed the sky-high home in Brooklyn Point development project. Brooklyn Point — the borough’s tallest residential tower and the first and only for-sale residential development at City Point features besides apatments the borough’s largest food, shopping, and entertainment destination.

“Located on the 50th floor, Charlie Ferrer has transformed this 1,486-square-feet three-bedroom into an urban oasis above the clouds. Ferrer designed the eclectic interior with an emphasis on comfort, casualness, and family living – all set against a city perspective. His stunning design complements the interior design by Katherine Newman Design, which exemplify a sophisticated design aesthetic combining art and utility, resulting in a modernist sensibility that embraces and reinterprets the past. The residence boasts a curated fresh edit of 21st century vintage with French, Danish and contemporary inspiration alongside custom pieces. These pieces include Mategot Style Mirror (France 1950s), Pierre Paulin Lounge Chair (France 1960), Verner Panton Lounge Chair (Denmark 1970s), and Andrew Hughes Pendant (Brooklyn 2020). The apartment was also designed as the ultimate work-from-home space. Each room has a set up where you can do work or study, including a white table in the living room, desks in both of the rooms designed for kids as well as in the master bedroom, all accompanied by exquisite skyline views. Expertly crafted finishes are at the heart of each Brooklyn Point apartment,  encompassing white quartz countertops, satin copper hardware, Waterworks custom faucet with copper finish, premium Miele kitchen appliances, custom glass and metal curtain wall, imported stone and custom millwork, ceiling heights ranging from 9’ to 11’, light stone mosaic feature walls and custom stained white oak vanity with marble countertops in the master bathroom,” explains FERRER
