CUT architectures thinks outside the box and designs "hotel-like" studio apartment in Paris

Architecture studio CUT architectures was approached to rearrange and renovate a small studio apartment in Paris and accommodate into it a bedroom, bathroom and living spaces.

“The studio apartment is conceived as an hotel room, an open space with windows on both sides, a warm floor made out of birch panels. The only enclosed space is the toilet while the half-circle white-tiled bathroom area is opened and located in the middle of the flat. A monumental motorized shower curtain gives privacy and waterproof to the bathroom when used sliding behind the washbasin / entrance console. The back wall is filled with storage cabinets and kitchen elements. A TV set is hidden behind the mirrored kitchen backsplash. The space is punctuated with iridescent finish steel elements such as the washbasin, the hood cover, a ladder to access the upper cabinets and its supporting rail,” explained Benjamin Clarens and Yann Martin, Founders of CUT architectures
