REBERBAR is a beer bar founded by an Ukrainian brand of brewing in Kiev. Both the interior and the brand identity was designed by Kiev-based studio YUDIN Design.

“At first we proposed the name that in Ukrainian sounds like bar of ribs, but in English it sounds near “beer bar”. In the result this name gives a clear idea about this pub to the citizens and the tourists. We sorted between graphic ribs every letter of the logo. Ribs and beer became also the main elements of the interior ideas. For example the main colors of the interior is a light yellow, colour of the beer, and white, colour of the ribs. A gray color was used as background that answers to the easy and a little brutal pub space. Tables and seats are made from the rude wood. Also the lumber is used for the zoning of the different spaces, with the same principle as in the Oktoberfest. The tables are able to host from 4 to the 12 people. The functional and intuitionally easy zoning gives the possibility to feel the proximity with the own company and with all guests of the bar. The 3 meters length bar is made as a cold room: here in the illuminated glass showcase you can see how beer is cooled in the kegs. Another one significant and stylish element in the design of the bar is the metal beer kegs, in which the beer of its own production waits its time. Those who brew a good beer can talk about it for hours. In the REBERBAR this conversation can be reduced to the very essence: in this pub there’s also a beer room with huge cisterns. The barrels have multiple features working as table supports In the hall near the bar, washbasins in the bathroom and as entrance to the institution. In the VIP room the studio we proposed pendant lights done also from beer barrels and realized this idea in their workshop YUDIN Product. Another interesting dècor element of the room is the pictures of the pork made from upside down beer bottles. In general the pub has two floors designed in one style but with different purposes: more minimalistic restaurant halls and a truly brutal space near the bar. When the soul is pleased with the beer, it wants to fly. For this reason in the bar a scene is equipped, where the cover bands are playing in the evenings. Throughout the day, the mood of the visitors rises along with the rhythms of the Ukrainian rock music. We have chosen the interior lighting from the judgments about comfort and the theme of the institution: the technical light helps comfortably to illuminate all areas, and the original designer lights in the shape of a beer yard remind that here the beer flows like a river! Another interesting décor element is the rake on the walls: the common tool to collect hops, so it’s logically placed here. In the interior there are also other decorative elements that make this place special and create the right atmosphere for the best moments of life. The mosaic in the form of a hop flower is shining with silver and gold, and acts as a recognizable background. Upon a closer inspection, the secret of the wall ornament is revealed: its puzzles from the beer caps. It’s one of the most stylish and recognizable selfie-zones in Kiev, realized with 26000 beer caps. This idea and also all décor and furniture have been realised by our team,” said Aleksandr and Vladimir Yudin, heads of the studio YUDIN Design
