PPT Interiorismo turned small apartment into spacious modern home
Barcelona-based studio PPT Interiorismo completed an apartment interior for a young man in the neighborhood of Gracia, Barcelona.
“Our client wanted to turn a small apartment located in the heart of Gràcia into his new home and studio. I had a single premise: to make the most out of the natural light. Therefore, we transformed most of the spaces into open rooms. We dispensed unnecessary corridors and designed a large kitchen-hall the protagonist and heart of the house. The kitchen, with its finishes and fine design, is fully integrated into the aesthetics of the house. A large Dekton island allows the synergy between the host and his guests. All the space dazzles with an impeccable white which brings a lot of light to the space. We made the most of the typical Barcelona gallery by opening the windows, generating a room and a chill out. As a nod we preserved the rustic finishes of the walls on the ceiling. Next to the living room we find the X room, a multipurpose space with a large library that can be either the artist’s studio or the guest room, with a bed that completely camouflates in the wall. The bedroom is a spacious suite with a dressing room. All the furniture of this room was specially made to measure in natural oak, with Wally appliques from Santa & Cole. The bathroom wrapped in Carrara marble reveals the detail that surrounds the house, knobs, faucets and the lamps,” says PPT Interiorismo
